Transformasi Identitas Orang Indonesia di Luar Negeri (Studi pada Diaspora Pelajar Indonesia di Amerika Serikat)

Abstract

This research examines the transformation of Indonesian citizen identity abroad which is carried out on the diaspora of Indonesian students. The theory in this study is the theory of symbolic interaction. The paradigm used is constructivist using a qualitative approach. This type of research is a descriptive study. Data collection techniques in this study are primary data from the results of structured and secondary interviews from literature studies. The Miles-Huberman interactive analysis technique was used in this study. The validity of the data in this study was carried out using source triangulation. This research shows that the reason Indonesians transform identity in the United States is that life in the United States can be a major influence in their lives both in technology, education, finance, business and entertainment.
