Konstruksi Realitas Sosial Anak Putus Sekolah

Abstract

Dropping out of school is a condition of a person not continuing their education. Most children who drop out of school are caused by low economic conditions and internal problems in the family as the main factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the construction of social reality in children who have dropped out of school. The research conducted is a sociology of communication research with the type of research used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used in the form of triangulation are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant selection technique is purposive sampling by selecting informants who have preferences with the age of 15 - 21 years. The validity technique used in this research is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the construction of social reality in school dropouts starts from recognizing the factors that cause dropouts, adjusting, building interactions with the surrounding environment, and identifying themselves as dropouts.
