Wacana Kekerasan terhadap Anak di Lingkungan Pendidikan pada Laporan Khas Redaksi Sore Trans7 Episode 17 Februari 2020

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence in the school environment is not a new case for Indonesian society. On February 17, 2020, Laporan Redaksi Sore raised the topic of violence against children in two cases that occurred in close proximity and had not even reached a week. The aim of this research is to dismantle the discourse of violence against children in the educational environment on Laporan Khas Redaksi Sore Trans7. Researchers used the Hierarchy of Influences Model with a qualitative approach and the Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis method with three dimensions of analysis, namely texts, discourse practices, and sociocultural practices.This research found that editors carry out the practice of selecting diction and metaphors, and carrying the humanism of the news. Beside that, Laporan Khas is not only as a talkative media for just promoting news, but merely wants to build a discourse of the struggle for humanity in the public eye. Moreover, socially, TRANS7 represents the ideology of humanist capitalism in its reporting.
