dc.description.abstractStrategy is a way to achieve organizational goals in mission implementation. Listener retention strategies used in broadcasting to gain listener sympathy. The ain of this study was to determine the strategy of the announcer of the Bang Jamal program at Radio Elgangga in retaining their listeners. This research uses Susan Tyler Eastman's theory to retain the listener strategy as an appropriate strategy for this research. This research used a Post-Positivistic paradigm with a descriptive qualitative research approach and a case study method. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that two Bang Jamal announcer have a distinctive characteristic, namely the Betawi accent, where the male announcer with the bekasi village accent and the female announcer use the bekasi city accent as a millennial child with a rich and fierce figure.en_US
