Sosok Perempuan dalam Video Klip Mercusuar Kunto Aji

Abstract

Kunto Aji's video clip titled Lighthouse shows the figure of a woman as the main object in the story contained in the video clip. Women in the lighthouse video clip act as saviors for stranded men, the depiction of the female figure influences the meaning of the lighthouse. This study aims to determine how the depiction of the female figure in the Kunto Aji Lighthouse video clip. This research is a qualitative research, using social media construction theory and using the constructivist paradigm. This study uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis to see the depiction of a female figure in a video clip that consists of stages of signs, objects and interpretants. The results showed that the figure of the woman was described as a lighthouse, the lighthouse was interpreted as a form of sincerity, the lighthouse was interpreted as a place for return of men when tired of wandering, the lighthouse was interpreted with love loyalty.
