Penggambaran Perceraian dalam Film Marriage Story

Abstract

Divorce becomes a separation between a married couples. The things to involve in divorce are economic, family, legal, and social factors. The purpose of this research is to observe the divorce representation in the film Marriage Story. The research employed construction of social reality mass media theory with a qualitative approach and a semiotic method of analysis Pierce with the three stages of sign, object, and interpretant. Divorce is on of the reality in our social life. This research notice that divorce is the one long path process has be passed. From it, researchers have found divorce it can be happen because lack of communication. On the other hand, it doesn’t have to done with quarrel, and who will get the impact is their child. This research be able to present some illustration about the reality of divorce.
