Konstruksi Sosok Anak dalam Film Animasi Wonder Park

Abstract

The figure of child is usually portrays as a figure who only plays with dolls and plays at home. However, the child figure shown in this animated film is different. Wonder Park is animated films that narrate about an adventure resulting from a child imagination and creativity in building a vehicle. The purpose of this research was to find out the constrcuction of the child figure contained in the Wonder Park animated film. The paradigm used in this research is construction paradigm with a qualitative approach. As the method being used is from Charles S. Peirce’s semiotics content analysis method in the first stage (sign, object, and interpretant) and the second stage (icon, index, and symbols), while for discussion using the theory of social construction of reality In Media. Research shows that the child figure became a brave person, creativity and imajination, good at socializing, smart, obedient to parents, honest, assertive, and never give up.
