Abstract: Obese people are often treated unfairly in society or in other words, marginalized by society. Marginalization towards obese people also appears in “Imperfect” Film. The purpose of this research is to reveal marginalization towards obese people in the "Imperfect" film. Theories used in this research are Critical theory and Popular Culture theory. The analytical method used in this research is Roland Barthes's semiotics, which consists of denotation, connotation, and myth. Through this study, researchers found evidence of marginalization towards obese people embedded in the "Imperfect" film. Marginalization towards obese people, revealed in the form of obese people that described as someone who experiences dissatisfaction with their body, experience body shaming by people in their working environment, and have bad eating habits. Through this study, researcher trying to give an enlightment for people who take advantage from obese people and used them as commodity to gain profit
