Abstract: LGBT is still viewed as a form of corruption and in some societies see it as natural in their attitudes and behavior. Like as video clip You Need to Calm Down, which describes LGBT figures. The aim of this research is to dismantle and analyze LGBT's representation in a video clip. This qualitative research using Popular Culture Theory with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method with it’s three elements (denotation, connotation, myth). This research found that LGBT is a privacy between individuals and a gender categorization of 'masculine' and 'feminine'. From this study, foundend of LGBT myths to shift and stabilize. Other than that, LGBT on the video clip is part of a Popular Culture of low culture that serves as a medium to bring benefits. So it can enlighten and change people's mindset and views on marginalized people like LGBT.
